- Mayonnaise – I used full fat but reduced fat is also fine
- Paprika – Regular paprika, not smoked
- Gherkins – Buy these chopped or whole and chop them up finely yourself
- Pickle juice – Use the liquid from the gherkin jar
- Mustard – American mustard here gives colour and just the right balance of flavour. Don’t use English mustard, it would be very strong!
