Easy Ways to Remove Sticky Residue From Glass
Removing a sticker from a glass jar, mirror, window, or tabletop can seem easy—until the paper comes off and leaves behind a stubborn, sticky layer of glue.
Instead of scrubbing aggressively and risking scratches, there are several simple household methods you can try.
1. Start With Warm Soapy Water
For fresh or light adhesive, warm water and dish soap may be all you need.
Soak a cloth or sponge in warm, soapy water and place it over the sticky area for several minutes. This can soften the adhesive and make it easier to wipe away.
For remaining residue, gently use a plastic scraper or an old plastic card.
2. Try Rubbing Alcohol
For more stubborn glue, rubbing alcohol can be effective.
Put a small amount on a clean cloth, hold it against the residue briefly, and then gently rub the area in small circles. Repeat if necessary rather than applying excessive pressure.
3. White Vinegar
