The neighborhood stayed beside her.

 

The same people who had helped with the children continued helping.

 

They took turns babysitting.

 

They brought meals.

 

They checked on her.

 

They made sure she had people to talk to.

 

The support didn’t disappear when the dramatic part of the story ended.
