This morning started like any other, but the moment I stepped outside and looked at my car, I knew something wasn't right. The entire surface was covered with strange, irregular marks that I had never seen before. They weren't ordinary fingerprints, they didn't look like scratches, and they certainly didn't resemble dirt or water stains. For a few seconds, I just stood there staring, trying to figure out what I was looking at.
My first thought was that someone had messed with my car during the night. Then I started wondering if an animal had climbed all over it. The more I looked, the more confused I became. The marks were everywhere, following odd patterns that made absolutely no sense. I even walked around the car several times, checking every angle to see if I could find any clue about what had happened.
I'll admit it—I was worried. My mind started imagining all kinds of possibilities, and none of them were good. Since I'd never experienced anything like this before, I decided to take several photos and send them to my brother and a few close friends. I asked if any of them had ever seen something similar, but no one could give me a clear answer.
Still curious, I uploaded the pictures online, hoping someone out there had an explanation. I honestly expected people to have different theories, but instead, dozens of comments started saying exactly the same thing. Apparently, the mystery wasn't a mystery at all.
According to several people who had experienced the same thing, the marks were left behind by snails that had crawled across my car during the night. As they moved, they left behind thin trails of slime that dried on the surface of the paint. Once the sun came up, those dried trails became much more visible, creating strange patterns that looked far more alarming than they actually were.
