Cut Pool Noodles Into Rings and Wrap Them With Lights — The Result Is Surprisingly Beautiful!
Who would have thought that an ordinary pool noodle could become a beautiful piece of home décor?
Pool noodles are usually associated with swimming pools and summer fun, but a simple DIY trick can transform them into glowing decorative rings that look much more expensive than they actually are.
The best part? You don’t need to be an experienced crafter to make them.
🧰 What You’ll Need
Pool noodles
LED string or fairy lights
A sharp craft knife
Clear tape or small zip ties
Scissors
Ribbon, greenery, or artificial flowers for decoration
Fishing line or string for hanging
✂️ Step 1: Cut the Pool Noodle
Start by cutting the pool noodle into several sections.
For smaller decorative rings, cut pieces about 1–3 inches thick. Try to make the pieces as even as possible so the finished rings have a neat appearance.
Be careful when using the knife, and always cut on a stable surface.
🔄 Step 2: Shape the Rings
Once you’ve cut the pieces, gently reshape them if they look slightly oval.
You can also create larger circles by cutting a longer section of noodle, bending it into a circle, and securing the ends together with strong tape or zip ties.
💡 Step 3: Add the Lights
Now comes the fun part.
Take your LED string lights and carefully wrap them around each foam ring.
You can wrap the lights tightly for a brighter appearance or leave small spaces between them for a softer glow.
