Some people naturally have inverted nipples, and this can be completely normal. The concern is more about a new or unexplained change.
Nipple discharge can also occur for many reasons. It is particularly important to have spontaneous or bloody nipple discharge evaluated by a healthcare professional.
5. Persistent Breast or Underarm Swelling
Swelling in the breast or underarm area can have numerous causes.
The lymph nodes under the arm can become enlarged because of infections or other immune responses. Breast tissue can also become swollen due to hormonal changes.
However, persistent or unexplained swelling, especially when associated with other breast changes, deserves medical attention.
Breast cancer can sometimes involve nearby lymph nodes, although swollen lymph nodes do not mean someone has cancer.

Many people immediately associate breast pain with cancer.
In reality, breast pain alone is not usually the most typical presentation of breast cancer.
Breast tenderness is common and may be associated with hormonal fluctuations, menstruation, pregnancy, medications, injury, or benign breast conditions.
